Uncle in Coma - Please Pray with Us

"Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree [harmonize together, make a symphony together] about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My father in Heaven]. For wherever two or three are gathered [drawn together as My followers] in [into] my name, there I AM in the midst of them. " Matt 18:19-20 [Amplified Bible]...

That is the wonders of fellowship, the gathering of faith, that move mountains...It's been three days since my uncle went into coma after the operation [Lung Cancer]. I ask that you will pray with me for a new lung my uncle needs & only Christ Jesus alone can perform such as He is our living God! "Martha then said to Jesus, "Lord if you had been here, my brother would not have died" John 11:21

Her words have been echoed in a thousand cemeteries. "If you..." If I you were doing your part, God, my uncle would have survived. If only you'd have heard my prayer, God, my arms wouldn't be empty...When we faced death, our definition of God is challenged. Which in turn, challenges our faith. Which leads us to ask a grave question. Why is it that we interpret the presence of death as the absence of God? Is healing the only way God demonstrates His presence?

Sometimes we think so. And as a result, When God doesn't answer our prayers for healing, we get angry. Resentful. Blame replaces belief. "If you had been here, doing your part, God, then this death would not have happened." NO I would not want to be Martha, I choose to believe "Jesus is the resurrection & the life; he who believes in Jesus will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives & believes in Jesus will never die. Do you believe?" John 11: 25

Not everyone believe in the Lord, from our big family of relatives & friends. The conflicts between whom believe in Christ & the idols have started even before the death of my uncle. I believe God will give my uncle a choice of leaving this World to Heaven or heal him with miracle as it would be disastrous for the family to choose the funeral services for my uncle...Wait! I will not look at our flesh but the perfect work on the cross! Amen?!

"Jesus said, Remove the stone." Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days." Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God. So they removed the stone. Jesus just shouted "Lazarus come forth." John 11:39-43

[The stone is the same stone where the God engraved on the Law, the ten commandment & the stench symbolize our flesh. The resurrection of Lazarus is the resurrection of Christ Jesus in us! Halleluiah! Jesus had removed the stone [Law] & we are resurrected just as Lazarus, be it 3 or 4 days in a grave! Amen?!]

John said, "The man who had died came forth, bound hand & foot wrappings, & his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Let's read the 7 words of the verse again, "The man who had died came forth." Louder! "The man who had died came forth!" What's the big deal Godwyn?

Question: What's wrong with this picture?

Answer: Dead men don't walk out of tombs.

Question: What's kind of God is this?

Answer: The God who holds the keys to life & death

The God we serve is a good God! The God we serve is a living God! It is written in the Bible, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, & with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those departed this life in Christ will rise first." 1 these 4:16 [Amplified Bible]

It's God's problem to resolve & I shall just pray for my Uncle...Believing even those departed this life in Christ will rise first...I will see my Uncle through eternity...on earth or as in Heaven...

Thank you for your Christ-filled blog. I am glad that you linked with my site. I am sorry to hear about your uncle. I have prayed for him, and you. You mentioned about why is it that Christ seems like He is not glorifed in death, and mostly healing. I remember when my Dad died, I thought Christ was glorified in His death because my Dad had rejected Him his whole life, and God continued to be gracious and merciful to my Dad his whole life, despite the rejection that my Dad gave to Christ. It is exciting to me that you are from Singapore. Are there many Christians there? Are there laws against being a Christian?

I can understand how you are feel as my brother-in-law was suffering from Brain Tumor before he return to the Lord. I will keep both of you in my prayer list.

I'm sure God grace is sufficient to him, the Lord will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness".

Have faith and keep believing that he will be healed and stand strong and courageous!

I am sorry to hear about your uncle. Although we are aware that the passing of one's loved one is sometimes to be expected, yet when the end comes there is always a deep sense of personal loss. Like you said, yet deep down there is the joy that our loved ones will be in the Father's House.
