You Raise me Up

I was impressed when I open up the Bible just, when the Spirit speaks, "For the Lord will not abandon His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance." Psalm 94:14 [NASB] As I am trying not to 'back-slide' with my close brother in Christ who has influenced on me. A few days back, He shared with me How angry he was with God & his suicide thoughts...

Then & there, the Devil was quick to put thoughts on me as well telling me God has forsaken me. Yet I remember even our Lord, Christ Jesus was 'tested' & He says: Man does not live on bread alone but every words of the living God. The next verse it says, "For judgment will again be righteous, And all the upright in heart will follow it. Who can stand up for me against the evildoers? Who will take his stand for me against those who do wickedness?" Psalm 94:15-16 [NASB] these are the exact thoughts I have been carrying...

I try talking the brother in Christ down, we spend hours late Friday night till Saturday morning while he let out his anger & I hold my stance in Christ, he did felt better but those hours are hell to me as the Devil cease not to battle us on with spiritual attacks so real, have you ever been through one? Yet it says in the Bible. "In the multitude of my [anxious] thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer & delight my soul!" Psalm 94:19 [Amplified Bible] Oh how true this verse says...

How should I battle on? Shall I remain still? Shall I use my own effort to overcome the trials that seem snow ball into tribulation? "But the Lord has become my High Tower & Defense, & my God the Rock of my refuge. And He will turn back upon them their iniquity & will wipe them out by means of their own wickness; the Lord our God will wipe them out." Psalm 94:22-23 [Amplified Bible] Halleluiah! Halleluiah! The Lord is my High Tower of Defense so is He your Rock of refuge, I know there are brothers & sisters out there suffering from prosecution, yet let us be Still as if Jesus is for us, who can be against us???

Hey Godwyn, what about the title, you raise me up? What is it got to do with former words? Be patient, Amen?! This is the title of a song that was Christ centered. A year plus ago, I wrote about this song when Sister Irene shared with me the song. I know it is not Godincidence when I heard the Song on Godpa's car when he was driving me home as he hardly listen to English titles. Just two days ago I walk pass a music store & it was playing "You raise me up", I felt so much comfort that I purchase the CD though it was sang by Westlife [originated from Josh Groban]

The Lord reminded me He raise me up & brought me tears of joy as I know even I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear...He is with me & you...

You Raise me Up

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

beautiful song and beautiful thoughts. I just lost a friend to suicide. She was a believer who came to believe that God had forsaken her, or else she thought, if she were really saved, she'd get into heaven no matter what, and if she wasn't, she wouldn't anyway, no matter what. it is so sad when such beuatiful people give up.

Dear Sister Maryellen,

It is indeed sad to watch these beautiful people ending their lifes. When the alarm sound with the red sirens flashing, I will do my best to help those around me walking on the thin red line. As sharing is loving, thank you for reminding us how delicate human's emotions are...

I am sure that sister in Christ is now back to Abba where she first belongs:-)

God Bless!

I like the song too! I have both version by Josh Groban and Selah. Have you heard the Selah version?
I personally prefered Selah.

Thanks for sharing...

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name will trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you."
Psalm 9:9 & 10

Please be strong, Brother :)

Dear Sister Audrey,

Thank you for 'checking' on me quite often these days, as you know that my spirit is low & challenging tributions daily:-)

My brother is ending his army in March, 18+ of age & attending NTU for his study. Sister is just 14 of age, doing a special program at National Junior J.C

I will remember Psalm 9:9-10 & set my heart from such pressing the Devil deep down under my feet, just the Loving Kindness of Christ Jesus our Lord. Have a good week ahead!

God Bless!

Dear sister Audrey, Prayer warrior & brothers,

Thank you for the prayers. I couldn't login to update comments for the past few days, I think there was some faults with my computer.

Later a sister in Christ, my elder God sister, sister Irene is going through an operation & she is highly anxious about the outcome. Please keep her in prayers.

Meantime, waves of tribulations are still heading towards me with heaps of spiritual attacks but I will remain still because He raise me up!

I'm not feeling well out of sudden as well, probably due to high level of stress.

May the Lord Bless all & Keep All:-)

Dear Sister Audrey,

I am 29 going 30:p Yet, I look young & I am young like ALL as the Lord said in Isiah 40:31

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run & not be weary, & they shall walk & not faint."

I wait upon the Lord...:-)
